Friends step out in union

BARDON'S 2ballerinas dance company has reunited three old friends almost 20 years down the track.

Nik Hills is the new contemporary dance teacher at the ballet school for adults for beginners to advanced, owned by Rosetta Cook and Michelle Giammichele.

All three knew each other previously, when they were all principal ballerinas and dancers for Queensland Ballet, first meeting in 1990.

"It's a hoot," Mr Hills said. "It's like having the whole gang back together."

Mr Hills has a career spanning decades and continents, training in London and dancing in Ireland and Germany and teaching in India, as well as international touring.

"I love teaching community classes," he said.

"People are meeting for the love of dance as opposed to anything else."
