Nicole Monkivitch

Nicole started her Dance training with Robyn Farquar on the Gold Coast and then studied with the Ransley Ballet and Dance Centre where she completed her RAD examinations and was awarded the Solo Seal. In 1988 she moved to Melbourne to study at the Victorian College of the Arts where she was taught by a wonderful selection of teachers including Gary Norman, Chrissa Keramidas, Mickaela Kirkeldi, Johnathon Taylor and Maggie Loraine. She was awarded the Christian Bond scholarship in 1988 and  graduated with a B.A. in Dance in 1990.

In 1991 Nicole  joined the QLD Ballet Company.   Here she  worked with many choreographers including Natalie Weir, Harold Collins, Jacqui Carroll and Maggie Sietsma. She  had the opportunity to dance Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty, Miranda in the Tempest and many other roles including Pas de Quarte, Jabula, The Artist, Four Seasons, Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Nights Dream. A highlight was being chosen to dance the role of the Wife in Anthony Tudor's, Echoing of Trumpets.

After leaving the Queensland Ballet Nicole moved to Sydney and worked for a number of years as a flight attendant for Ansett Australia.  She later moved to Townsville where she married and had 2 gorgeous children.

Nicole has been a freelance ballet teacher for a number of ballet schools in Queensland and particularly enjoys teaching adult dancers. 

Nicole joined 2ballerinas in 2015.
