The dance floor is down!
After a fantastic effort by the team, the floor and hall was prepared for the layout.
Everything went smoothly and the flooring went down with no hassles. We have a few bits and pieces to fit and adjust here and there, but overall it is “job done”.
We wish to again express our gratitude to all who were involved in making the dance floor happen.
We know the floor will feel fantastic underfoot for many years to come!

Rosetta has just choreographed a beautiful tango piece named Hall of Flame for the Queensland Ballet’s Vis-a-Vis Studio Season. Bravo Rosetta!
2ballerinas students and Michelle Giammichele gathered last Friday at Donna Scott-Young’s home to cook up a storm. Sally Hunter was our magnificent Master Chef guiding us in how to make some delicious French cuisine.
Congratulations to Rosetta and Nik, who are both appearing with the students of the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC this week. It was a joyous celebration of music, song and dance. Nik strummed up a storm as the drummer for Soul Music – a series of music pieces that featured songs by some great American soul singers like Aretha Franklin and James Brown. The students energy and drive was a real joy and Nik was obviously having a wonderful time!
By popular demand we adding adding another Intro to Ballet 1 course. The classes will start from April 22nd 2010 and will be between 7-8pm at the Lizzie St Hall. We are taking enrolments now. Contact us to join in.

We are introducing new Bodywise Classes which incorporate yoga, pilates and dance stretch moves and also tango classes for beginners and also a more advanced tango class.

2ballerinas are proud to announce that Natalie Havas is joining 2ballerinas as a relief teacher for all our ballet classes. 2ballerinas congratulates Queensland Ballet on their 50th Anniversary year. To commemorate the year Queensland Ballet have produced a wonderful book called Keeping The Dream Alive which features lots of photos with Michelle and Rosetta. The book is available for sale from the Queensland Ballet.
Michelle is featured in a new book called “Queenslanders All Over” which was officially launched at Parliament House by The Premier, Anna Bligh on Wednesday June 24.
