Mike Lapot is a professional dancer, teacher and freelance choreographer who is passionate about positively impacting everyone who has a love for dance. His journey in the world of dance began at the age of 10 when he was reluctantly taken along to his sister’s dance class. Little did he know that this experience would spark a lifelong love interest with all things dance.

During his younger years, Mike embraced various dance styles, but it was tap that truly captivated him. Over the past couple decades, he has taken his dance talents to both international and local stages, with his first professional show being in Dubai back in 2001.

Among his accomplishments, Mike proudly serves as a resident tapper alongside fellow 2ballerinas teacher, Sam Windsor, for the Brizzy based tap troupe, Raw Metal. Together, they have taken their rhythms on tour throughout Canada and captivated audiences across Australia. Additionally, Mike is a member of Impact Entertainment, a performance company based in South Australia.

Mike’s creative spirit comes alive in the realm of choreography. Having choreographed numerous musicals in both Brisbane and Adelaide. These include productions such as Mary Poppins, Wicked, Cats, Beauty and the beast, The Wall, and The Producers. Apart from musicals. Mike’s love for dance extends to teaching, where he finds joy in sharing his expertise and inspiring all types of dancers. With his fun and engaging teaching style, he has imparted his knowledge not only around Australia but also throughout America and Canada, leaving a positive impact on aspiring dancers wherever he goes.

Mike has also appeared on Tv throughout the years with shows including So you think you can dance and Australia’s got Talent. However, his latest achievement was appearing on Channel nines hit show Dance Boss, as part of the Airline Crew.
