Sarah began her full time training with the Queensland Dance School of excellence at the age of 14. At 16 Sarah went on to study under Lucette Aldous at the WA Academy of Performing Arts. During this time Sarah worked with amazing national and international choreographers performing roles like Kitri, Giselle, Aurora as well as new contemporary works.
During her second year in WA at the age of 18 Sarah was invited to go to France where she studied at the conservatoire in Paris alongside the Paris Opera and the Conservatoire in Lyon.
After spending time in France Sarah found herself in London performing guest works and independent projects that took her to Germany for over a year. On her return to Australia sarah was invited to be a guest artist and collaborated with what was then current and former principal artists of the Australian Ballet performing new works in both classical and contemporary. It was during this time she was invited to be Principal dancer with an independent ballet company in Melbourne performing many different roles specifically choreographed for her.
Performing many roles in both ballet and contemporary learning from and working with some of the worlds renowned artists and choreographers, sarah expanded her knowledge into teaching.
While principal dancer Sarah studied with the Australian Institute of Classical dance under the guidance of Marilyn Jones and achieved both her associates and licentiate diploma in teaching. After teaching for over 20 years Sarah has seen many of her students go onto to achieve much success in the dance world.
