Tahlia was born in Gladstone, Queensland where at the age of 9 she decided to take up ballet. Instantly she fell in love with the dream of becoming a ballerina and by the age of 16 she had achieved a distinction in all of her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet examinations including the Solo Seal certificate. Following this, she moved to Brisbane to train in ballet full-time at Annette Roselli Dance Academy while completing her Year 12.
Following graduation, Tahlia performed with the Australian Ballet in Melbourne, and was a guest soloist and principal in several productions and galas across Australia. She has taught classes and workshops at many different dance schools around Queensland with a focus primarily on artistry and expression. Tahlia spent time expanding her repertoire dancing in the Australian Ballet and in Germany with Ballett Dortmund. Since returning to Australia, she has joined Brisbane Ballet as Principal Artist and Ballet Mistress and she continues to perform and coach.
